Dingdong has a suggestion, for the good of all. Since everyone is still in the betting pool, except for Tom, perhaps Tome should be allowed to buy back in - provided that he offers up another ante. This is the dingdong plan: Tom pays in again and gets the bowling moms, if they win, he wins, if they lose, he owes double. Make sense? Tom...? Tom...? C'mon, you miss us don't you?

Dingdong Predicts

Dingdong is back. Dingdong has some predictions for tomorrow night's epidose. Dindong will keep referring to dingdong in the third person, because dingdong needs more attention.
Colin & Christie: Colin, going slowly insane, brandishes a shiv. Christie gently sobs.
The twins: Growing more afraid of the competitors, they revert to their special "twin language", learned while locked in a closet as youths. Ultimately, this proves a good strategy.
The Brothers: Fleeing an angry mob, they take refuge in the US embassy, unable to complete this leg of the race.
The models: they are delayed for several weeks helping blind lepers; god helps them out by putting them in first. it's a miracle!!!
the wee one and her cousin: they default on some old gambling debts and are pursued by argentine thugs

How amazing...
That Joel's team keeps coming in second?! If it weren't for one of them having very short legs, they would probably be coming in first! This is getting to be very disturbing indeed.
We all knew that the father/daughter combo weren't going to last. What with the stop off last week to exchange dollars for pesos and the f'd up plane ticket this week, they did not have the look of Champions. My prediction at this point is that the twins will combust in a few short weeks. Those girls are too tightly wound to make it through. But next week, I predict the Pizza Brothers will go, based on poor performance, lack of physical ability and, of course, the preview after last night's show. Sorry Jen!

Meanwhile, the models keep thanking the Lord and He keeps responding! Amen!

I was saying to Rebecca last night that I think Joel has somehow picked the Chauncey Gardiners of the Amazing Race. They're completely without talent (except for their comedic skillz in pantomiming and trying to speak Spanish by adding a cheezy accent and ending English words with -o), but they always manage to fail upwards. I seriously would not have been surprised if last night's show had ended with Charla and Mirna walking across the surface of the water to the little island where Phil was waiting.

And by the way, did anyone catch the little clip of video they played at the end for their "come to our website and see more in-depth features" bit? It showed Joel's team in hockey gear. This concerns me because, well, I don't know where you go to play hockey in South America. Which I think means that they'll be hanging around for quite a while.

Here's a twin question: why do they contrive to finish every episode showing as much skin as possible? Are the twins hoping to parlay their appearance on TAR into a modeling career? Don't they realize that they're already competing with models?

I have to agree with my wife that the Pizza Brothers are not long for this world. The business with the chocolate-tasting clearly showed that the laws of probability are ready to punish them for their boorishness.

Which means that polite, spunky, and tough-but-fair Chip and Kim are due for some probabilistic rewards pretty soon.

Oh, and Eve, I'm pretty sure that Colin's a psychopath. In terrible need of a haircut.

And the lowly have been lifted on high. It should be obvious now that God has an interest in The Amazing Race. The Christian models are in first, where they belong, and ruin has been smitten (smote?) upon those sinners, Donny and Allison. If only they had beheld the other teams in love (Biblically speaking). And Tom, what can we say? Now you have about 10 weeks to wonder who to write the check out to. Did Big Brother fandom hook you on Allison? Drunk on the heady power of seeing them in first last week? I think we've all learned some humility. Question: Was it just my attention span, or were there a couple teams we just didn't see until the stepped on the podium at the end? I'm thinking here of Colin & Christie and Bob & Joyce? What happened there? Pretty sneaky, eh? Maybe they're the teams to root for...
A final question for the pizza guys: what sense does it make to refer everyone in Uruguay as useless foreigners, when you are the foreign ones? Isn't there a fundemental misunderstanding going on here? God has singled you out next...

Root against everyone else? How could you even think such a terrible thing. I pray that the teams will find the spirit of unity and cooperation, and learn to help one another achieve their goals and aspirations. Together, they can accomplish anything. With love, all the teams can stand on the podium together. Except, of course, for Keith's pick. They're going out next week.

Sarah goes for the twins. I have to say that the twins would have been my first pick as well. They're supposed to have near-telepathic powers, those twins, and there are lots of times on TAL when partner telepathy would be pretty handy. I did notice right away that the twins were evil; but I thought that'd just help them along. I lost a little faith in them when they hosed up the route-marker thing, but notice how they were able to use their evil powers to keep alive.

Sarah's also in the category of people who'll be collecting tainted money if she wins. What's up with everyone picking the evil teams?

I'd like to point out that even though they're in first, she's really, really evil, and if Tom ends up winning the pot he will be accepting blood money. Hope you can sleep at night, pal.
